To take the administration to the people , to improve governance, bring transparency and ensure better delivery of the welfare schemes the Government of Telangana decided to create new districts. It was a double bonanza for the people of Telangana on October 11 th , 2016 as the 29th State not only celebrated Dasara in a grand manner but 21 new districts also became a reality taking the total number to 31 districts.

At the stroke of 11.13 am, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State Shri.K. Chandrasekhar Rao garu, amid chanting of hymns cut the ribbon of the new District Collectorate complex in Siddipet Town and formally inaugurated the Siddipet district, being carved out of existing Medak district. On that day the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State assured the people of the Siddipet District to establish a Government Medical College at Siddipet to provide tertiary health care.

On 22.10.2016 a First High Level meeting regarding establishment of new medical college at Siddipet was organized with Hon’ble Dr. C. Laxma Reddy Garu ,Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt of Telangana, Hon’ble Minister Sri. T. Harish Rao Garu Minister for Irrigation, Marketing and Legislative Affairs ,Govt of Telangana and Sri Rajeshwar Tiwari Garu, Special Chief Secretary to Govt, HMFW Dept , Telangana and action plan was chalked out.

Since then all the works of Identification and acquisition of land for establishment of New Medical College and Hospital at Siddipet , Sanction of budgetary allocation ,Sanction of Posts for Recruitment of teaching,non-teaching, para- medical and other ancillary staff is proceeding on a warfoot basis.

The College will go for MCI Inspection in 2017 for grant of Letter of Permission to admit students during the academic year 2018-19.
